I love wikipedia!

If you haven not heard of Wikipedia you should it's the best homeschooling tool on the market and not only that it's free! It can answer questions about Star Trek episodes to impromptu questions from your son.

  1. Thanks for sharing that. I also like that site(I remember reading that from their site, itself).

You should also be aware though, that the wikepedia and their information is put online by random people from the internet.

I don't know how often editing, or even if they do edit on that site is, as to make information as accurate as possible. But, it is just something to be aware of.

    Thanks again

  2. Thanks. I'm aware that it's not a definitive source of info but it's a start.

  3. Hi Samantha,

Yes of course it is a very good start and you will find lots of good information there, no doubt. I hope I didn't offend, it's just I notice so many people referring to that site and using the information as if it's definitive information, of course perhaps they don't know.

I was actually surprised to read that one can even join and edit/add on to the information already there. For me personally I just don't feel comfortable with that. Just thought you wasn't aware of that, but, I didn't mean to offend.

  4. Not offended at all. It's a good reminder to others that it isn't definitive. It really isn't any different than any encyclopedia or world book. If you are going write a paper you want more basic source material.
